The museum offers guided tours for groups of up to 20 persons, starting exclusively on Tuesday through Friday. Reservations are mandatory for guided tours, and they must be made at least seven days in advance, subject to availability.

Video recording/photography for commercial or documentary purposes of assets belonging to the movable national patrimony, public property of the Romanian state, may only be performed with the written consent of the holder of the administration rights (in this case the “Grigore Antipa” National History museum) pursuant to a contract sanctioned by the National Commission for Museums and Collections, and with the approval of the Ministry of Culture and National Patrimony, as well as in accordance with Statute No.8/1996 regarding copyright and associated rights, as subsequently amended and supplemented.

Reproduction rights for images depicting items belonging to the Museum’s collections: such reproduction rights can only be granted based on explicit requests from publishing houses, press trusts, etc., specifying the characteristics of the intended publications (such as: volume, site, dimensions, circulation, language of publication, bilingual edition, etc.).

ADMISSION IS FREE FOR THE FOLLOWING CATEGORIES OF VISITORS

  • preschoolers
  • children under 18 years of age, during school breaks
  • students who are Romanian citizens living abroad, recipients of grants from the Romanian state
  • employees of the Ministry of Culture and National Patrimony
  • employees of the national network of Romanian museums and those of the National Conservation and Restorations Research Institute
  • holders of ICOM cards
  • holders of Euro 26 cards under the age of 30, on the 26th of every month, or on the following day if the institution is closed to the public on the 26th
  • college students in Biology, Human and Veterinary Medicine, Agronomy, Forestry, Fine Arts and Architecture departments, with valid student ID cards
  • official delegations, as well as other delegations with a cultural character, within the limits set by the Museum’s operating schedule
  • volunteer members of the “Knights of the Antipa Order”
  • members of the Romanian Ornithological Society
  • disabled or special needs children under 18 years of age, as well as persons accompanying disabled children under 18 years of age
  • children under 18 years of age who are subject to social protective measures
  • adults with severe or substantial disabilities, as well as for the person accompanying them
